NETFLIX fans are weighing up their options after the streaming giant began a huge new account sharing ban – and many want to quit for good.
Searches for 'cancel Netflix account' have surged on Google since the announcement earlier this week.
The changes mean anyone caught using a Netflix account that belongs to someone they don't live with will have to pay £4.99 per month.
Little do most Netflix fans realise, there's actually a separate Netflix subscription plan that costs £4.99 too – but it has one distinct advantage.
The Netflix Basic with Adverts tier lets you access the service on two devices at the same time.
So if you and other members of your household have been using someone else's account, this might be a more affordable option, as the new fee only allows one device.

There is one limit of course – you'll have to tolerate adverts.
You also can't download shows or movies to watch offline.
If you can't stand the idea of ads, you could subscribe to the non-ad Basic tier, but it'll cost you £2 more per month – and the video quality is limited to 720p too.

The likes of Disney+, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, Paramount+ and so many more have made the streaming business super competitive.
Years ago the firm famously said "sharing is caring" and turned a blind-eye to the money-saving trick.
But on Tuesday Netflix warned it is now sending emails out to rule-breaking customers across the US and UK.
"A Netflix account is for use by one household," Netflix said.
"Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are – at home, on the go, on holiday – and take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices."
