A MOTORIST has taken to social media to show the unbelievable parking problem they're having with a neighbour.

While putting out cones or bins to reserve street parking spots is fairly common, this method is taking things even further.

The Reddit post uploaded by user MihaiPirogov123 has the title: 'My neighbour bought a broken moped to hold his parking spot when he’s not home.'

It was uploaded along with a picture of the moped left on the side of the street between two parked cars.

Given the amount of room between the moped and the others cars, it's clear the moped is being used to block off a space.

People were only too happy to jump in with suggestions on what to do in the comments below.

But another person pointed out: "For a moped, tax will be about a tenner.

"Insurance will likely be less than a couple of hundred.
