Mrs Hinch fans often take to their dedicated social media Facebook page to share their own cleaning finds. Posting on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips page, one woman shared her mattress tips and tricks.

Regularly cleaning your mattress can help to remove allergens and dust as well as bacteria.

It can also help prevent mould and odours.

It is recommended to properly clean a mattress every six months as well as turning it over in-between.

Washing all bedding in hot water can also help to prevent any dust mites.

Posting on the Facebook page, the woman said: “I saw a lady cleaned up her mattress with flash with bicarbonate of soda.

“I only have Astonish so I thought I would give it a go.

“Sprayed on a sweat stain, left for 10 mins and wiped down with a dry cloth…I actually used a duster as my microfibre cloths were in the wash.

“Amazing results…Love Astonish and the scent is lovely too.”

The woman added that not only did it remove the stain, it also helped freshen up the mattress and brought it back to life.

The Astonish Fabric Stain Remover can be picked up for around £1 in retailers like The Range, Wilko, Home Bargains and Poundland.

The company behind the stain remover Astonish says: “Our fabric stain remover is a cupboard staple, on hand to swiftly remove stains from fabrics instantly or for treating prior to washing. Top tip, try not to let the stain dry, tackle it as soon as possible to save you time in the long run.”

Fans were quick to rush to the comments to share their love for the cleaning product as well as recommend some alternatives.

One person said: “Tried this on our mattress and it now looks brand new, love their products.”

Another wrote: “I’ve got this spray, and I can honestly say it’s the best stain remover I have ever used! In its spray capacity it beats Vanish, and shops’ own brands by far.”

Others expressed how simply dusting some bicarbonate of soda across the mattress works just as well.

It helps to remove any odours from the mattress as well as soaking up any moisture from the mattress.

Bicarbonate of soda is also cheap and a non-chemical based product, which some suggested was better to use on a mattress.

Mrs Hinch herself has also previously explained that she uses a sieve to dust over some of the product onto her mattresses.

The cleaning sensation leaves the bicarbonate of soda to work for an hour before hoovering it up.

She also adds a couple of essential oils onto her clean mattress to help freshen it up as well as circulate a nice scent in the room.

She explained on Instagram: “For those asking why I use bicarb and what does it do, it’s an odour eliminator so any odours that may be lingering in the mattress it just soaks them up and absorbs them. It works really, really well.”
